Everyone’s divorce is unique. Each couple has different requirements and challenges. As a result, different configurations of the parties will meet to resolve the most pressing problems at the moment.

THE COLLABORATIVE TEAM:
The goal and focus of the team is assisting couples in reaching fair and equitable agreements and in helping individuals generate the options they find most reasonable and workable.

COLLABORATIVE LAWYER:
It is essential that a lawyer be involved to advocate for your best interest and to advise you on all matters of the law. The Collaborative Law Practice and lawyers trained and practicing in this area commit to resolution without court intervention.

DIVORCE COACH - COACHING IS COLLABORATIVE:
A Divorce Coach does not play the clinical role of a therapist or counselor. Instead, he or she works with individuals or couples going through a divorce and assists them with goal setting, goal achievement, decision making, establishing structure, identifying support systems, prioritizing tasks, setting realistic expectations and coping with life transitions issues. Managing transition challenges throughout the process is the focus of Divorce Coaching.

FINANCIAL SPECIALIST:
Divorce Financial Specialists are able to perform a full review of all relevant data including personal and marital property, retirement funds and pensions, business valuation, real-estate, maintenance, child support, and taxes. The professional guidance a financial specialist will assist you in the analysis of viable settlement options as they are being proposed and is able to thoroughly explain the long term ramifications of any settlement decision.

CHILD SPECIALIST:
A Child Specialist plays a critical role in divorce situations. Children may suffer the most from divorce, and be least able to understand or express their feelings. They help assess children’s needs; assisting them in expressing their feelings and concerns about the divorce; develop a parenting plan suited to the needs and best interests of the children, distinguish the parental needs from those needs of the children. A goal of the Collaborative Law Practice is to assure that children are a priority, not a casualty.
